In the first seven months of 2026, Ukraine significantly increased the physical volume of exports of meat and edible poultry by-products. At the same time, foreign exchange earnings from supplies decreased, despite the increase in sales abroad.
According to the State Customs Service, in January-July 2026, Ukraine exported 291.8 thousand tons of meat and edible poultry by-products.
This is 11.8% more than in the same period in 2025.
At the same time, in monetary terms, the situation was the opposite. Export revenue for seven months amounted to $619.2 million, which is 2.3% less than in the corresponding period last year.
Thus, Ukrainian producers and exporters supplied more products to foreign markets, but received less money for them.
Who buys Ukrainian poultry the most
The Netherlands remains the key buyer of Ukrainian poultry meat. This country accounted for about 25% of exports in January-July.
The top three buyers also included:
Great Britain — 15.8%;
Slovakia — 11.9%.
Together, these three countries provided more than half of Ukrainian exports of the relevant products.
The indicators demonstrate the continued high external demand for Ukrainian poultry products, while the reduction in foreign exchange earnings against the background of an increase in physical volumes of supplies may indicate a less favorable price environment in foreign markets.
