The Supreme Court of Criminal Appeals acquitted the former deputy head of the South-Western Railway’s supply service

The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court has acquitted the former deputy head of the logistics service of the regional branch of the South-Western Railway of PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia.
The panel of judges of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court adopted the corresponding decision on Tuesday, July 14.
The accused also held the position of head of the tender committee of the regional branch. He was charged with committing a criminal offense under Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – abuse of official position, which caused grave consequences.
Following the results of the case, the court found the former official not guilty and acquitted him due to the lack of evidence that his actions constituted a criminal offense.
The verdict of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court may be appealed within 30 days from the date of its announcement.
An appeal is filed through the High Anti-Corruption Court to the Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court.
