Prior to working in the public sector, Koretsky had experience in the political sphere. Personnel renewal of the government

The appointment of a new head of government is part of a large-scale personnel reset of the executive branch, which was announced by the President of Ukraine on July 12. At that time, Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the preparation of changes in the government and law enforcement agencies within the framework of the new political strategy of the state.

On July 14, the Verkhovna Rada supported the resignation of Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko. In accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, the entire Cabinet of Ministers resigned along with the resignation of the head of government.

It is expected that the issue of appointing Serhiy Koretsky to the post of Prime Minister will be considered by the people’s deputies in the near future.

At the same time, protests have been announced in a number of Ukrainian cities for July 16, with participants opposing personnel changes in the government, in particular the dismissal of Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
