Former MP Andriy Levis officially returned to parliament. On Friday, June 12, he was sworn in and began performing his duties as a MP as part of the European Solidarity faction.

Levus received a mandate to replace the deceased elected official, who passed away on May 18 at the age of 64.

The new parliamentarian was included in the party’s electoral list under No. 29. He had previously worked in the Verkhovna Rada of the 8th convocation, and also served as Deputy Chairman in 2014 and headed the commandant’s office of the Maidan Self-Defense during the Revolution of Dignity.

In 2021, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine acquitted Levus in the case of allegedly illegally receiving compensation for renting housing.

Thus, European Solidarity restored its strength in parliament after losing one of its experienced representatives.
